How to Reach CRED customer care

There is no official CRED customer care number, but you can reach them via email. The CRED app customer care email address is support@cred.club.

There are two channels by which you may reach out to CRED support team.

CRED In-app option to create support ticket:

Click the 'profile' icon on the top left corner. In the subsequent window scroll down till end of page, here under "QUICK ACTIONS" you will find "support" option as in below image:

click on "support". Here you will find all your "open" and "resolved" cases. And a "FAQs" link which should contain answer to most of your typical queries. If some how you are still not able to find the answer relevant to your query, then you could choose the "need more help?" option, then select "other issues" (refer below screen)

In the following screen, just select "Write to us" and send your query. This will lead to creation of a new support ticket with CRED app customer care team. Usually you should get response to your query within two working days (You would also receive an email to your registered mail id, with the response received from CRED customer care team)

But from my personal experience, the existing FAQs provide a very comprehensive coverage on most aspects of CRED and there is a good chance there is already some information available about your query (you may also leave a comment here, I will try to revert back on it based on my understandings and knowledge of CRED working)

This is the second option to reach to them, by sending an email to support@cred.club. Creating in a In-app support ticket may be a better option rather than leaving a email, as all queries would be linked to your account and you too have a better tracking and reference to it at a later point.

Trivia:

CRED officially calls its customer care team as "Customer success team". I would say the name suits them and assume any one would agree with it!!

CRED Rent Payment Charges (and some finer points)

What are the Charges for paying Rent on CRED ?

You could pay rent with CRED using Credit card or UPI.

Charges for paying rent with Credit card:

CRED charges you 1% to 1.75% service charge for rent payment (to cover their processing cost). These charges may vary for each transaction depending on the amount and the processing cost of a particular transaction. The exact charges would be communicated to you on the payment review screen before you initiate the payment.

Charges for paying rent using UPI:

There isn't any convenience fee for rent transactions using UPI. However, paying rent through your credit card gives you access to numerous benefits (see below), which wouldn't be available on UPI transfers.

Benefits of paying through credit card instead of UPI on CRED:
On CRED, paying your rent through credit card gives you access to numerous perks:

1. Earn up to 3.3% extra reward points on your credit card
2. Earn more CRED coins upon clearing your credit card bills
3. Easy repayments with up to 45 days of credit period
4. Reach your credit card annual fee waiver and reward milestones faster
5. Improve your credit score by paying back on time

Time taken for money to be credit to Landlord's account:

Once you select your method of payment and submit your landlord's account details, your payment is processed and deposited into your landlord's account instantly. In a few cases, it an take up to a few hours.

However, keep in mind the below fine points as well:

1. You can avail Rent Pay facility only once in a month
• If you try multiple transfer in a calendar month you will get "Monthly usage limit exceeded"
2. You should provide the PAN card number of your land lord
• As per the IT act, it is mandatory to submit the landlord's PAN for rental payments above INR 50,000
• You thought you could use this as a hack to transfer money to your own account ? Gotcha! that is not gonna be possible..
3. The Landlord's name you give should match with the back account details provided. If not you will get a "Landlord's name did not match the bank account details" error

Answers to some of the other frequent questions about CRED Rent payment feature:

My account has been debited but my landlord has not received the money

In rare cases, it can take up to 24 hours for your payment to be processed and deposited into your landlord's account. Rest assured, in such cases, we will get the issue resolved at the earliest to ensure your timely rent payment to your landlord.

Is it safe to pay rent on CRED?
Yes, all payments on CRED are encrypted and comply with the highest standards of security.

My account was debited but my payment has failed
CRED initiates an automatic refund in such rare cases. The money will get refunded back to you within 5-7 working days.

I paid rent through CRED but did not receive any CRED coins
Your rent payment would get added to your next credit card bill. Therefore, you will get more CRED coins when you make your next credit card bill payment on CRED.

Do I get a receipt after paying my rent?
Currently CRED is working on building an auto receipt feature for making your experience seamless. CRED will notify all our RentPay users with the update, as soon as it is launched. Thank you for your patience.

I am getting the error "Seems like you have entered your own PAN"
Please submit your landlord's PAN number in the space and retry

My payment has failed. When should I expect a refund?
CRED initiates a transfer as soon as a payment fails. In such rare cases, the money will be deposited into your method of payment within 5-7 working days.

How to Use CRED Coin balance

The best way to burn CRED coins is the "Kill the bill" option. However, CRED has limited kill the bill to 5 times a month (you could burn 5000 coins this way - 1000 coins * 5 times). Most of the options present in CRED to burn the coin beyond "Kill the bill" are not very attractive. In this blog post I will explore what possible options you can consider beyond reaching this limit.

You will hit the Jackpot when you get "777" in slot machine after you spin. In my experience, I had won from 500 coins to 2100 coins. What is the CRED referral program?

CRED's referral program lets you invite friends to join CRED and get rewarded for it!

Once your friend has registered successfully and has made their first payment on CRED, you and your friend receive 10 gems redeemable on the app for rewards like Gift voucher from your favourite brands (including Flipkart, Amazon, Uber among so many other choices). Now CRED is also providing option to convert gems to 2% of First credit card payment amount.

How can I refer CRED to my friends?

You just need to do the following to participate:

• Click 'control' located at the top-right corner on your home page
• Click on the button labelled 'Refer now & earn gems' to start referring your friends to CRED
• You could use our smart contact book option to see which one of your friends is not on CRED or refer via WhatsApp
• Your friends need to successfully register on CRED and make their first payment towards their credit card bills
• Gems will be credited to your account immediately after your friends' payments are successful

What are the benefits?

If your friends get accepted as a CRED member, and completes their first payment towards their credit card on CRED, you receive 10 gems which can be redeemed for rewards.

Additionally, your friend will also receive 10 gems, once their first credit payment is successfully completed.

What if I already have a CRED referral link from before May21st?

You may be invited to participate in new referral campaigns from time to time from CRED. As of now, any referral link that you have (received before or after May 21st) will work the same way - the referral benefits will be added to your account once the referee has been registered and made their first payment on CRED.

Is there a limit on the number of invites I can send ?

No, you can invite as many friends as you want. However, you can only earn a maximum of 750 gems.

Who is eligible to refer?

Any transacting CRED member can share their referral link with their friends. However, to ensure that users don't get spammed, please ensure that you only send invites to people you are acquainted with.

Who is eligible to be referred?

Any active credit card holder can be referred to CRED. A referral is considered valid only if:

1. your friend has been accepted successfully on CRED
2. After they have made their first payment towards their credit card on CRED.

Do note that CRED does preliminary checks through credit bureaus to determine eligibility before onboarding.

How long is the referral link valid for?

Your referral links are valid for a period of 48 hours. As long as a non-member joins CRED through your link within this time and successfully completes their first payment, both you and your friend will receive 10 gems.

Why did I not get gems for a referral that was accepted?

If you are not notified about winning your gems after sharing the link, it's likely that one or more of the following conditions weren't met:

• The person who clicked the link was already a CRED member.
• The person was not found eligible as per CRED's eligibility.
• The user clicked on your link and didn't create an account.
• The user-created an account but did not complete their first payment on CRED.

To ensure the account security of our members, we cannot disclose or confirm any account information or order history from another member's account.

How can I check on the status of my referred friends?

To check the status of your referred friends, follow the steps below:

• On your home screen, click on the icon in the top-right corner of your screen labelled 'control'
• On this screen, you will see a button labelled 'gem rewards' or displaying your current gem balance.
• Clicking on this section will lead you to a ledger which will help you track your referrals and also help you track the gems you earn and spend.

How do I claim mystery cash backs ?

After you make a credit card bill payment on CRED, your unlocked mystery cash backs will appear in the 'win' section of the app. To navigate to the 'win' section of the app, click on the lifestyle icon on the bottom-right corner of your home screen. On this screen, click on card that says 'win'

Where can I see my mystery cash back rewards?

Cashbacks now appear under the win section of the app. To navigate to the 'win' section of the app, click on the lifestyle icon on the bottom-right corner of your home screen. On this screeen, click on the card that says 'win'. You will find mystery cash backs there which can be unlocked. Once redeemed, click on the icon in the top right corner of your screen that says 'trophy room' to see the sum of all cash backs you have won in 'win'.

I have made a payment but I am not seeing the mystery cash back rewards

You can unlock each mystery cash-back when you make a payment of the required amount towards clearing your credit card bill. Each cash back can be claimed only once every 30. If you have recently claimed all available mystery cash backs and do not see locked cash backs in the 'win' section, you can unlock them next month when you pay your next bill. The cash-backs will reappear, when they are ready to be unlocked again.

I am not getting Rs 10,000 and Rs 1,00,000 cash back cards.

Mystery cash backs on CRED are dynamic in nature and can change from time to time. Check the win section regularly to see which cash backs are available and unlock them by paying your bill.

I can't see mystery cash back in my app

How do I register on the app?
Easy! Access the app on your mobile. Then, enter your mobile number linked to your cards. Allow permission to read SMS or enter OTP manually. Enter your first and last name and voila! You are all set. We will do the rest.

What is the eligibility criteria to get membership?
CRED aims at building a better financial world for its consumers. We want to enable you to have access to better offers and upgrades from premium brands. To enable this, we have an acceptable brands. To enable this, we have an acceptable Experian credit score of a minimum of 750 or CRIF credit score of minimum 570 for credit card holders.

Is KYC Verification necessary to get membership?
The registration process is simple. There is no KYC needed. However, we required your complete name and verified mobile number to complete registration.

How safe is it for me to share my personal information?
Safety and trust are at the forefront of what we do. The app works on the forefront of what we do. The app works on the guiding principle of opt-in consent and full transparency. It is equipped with 256 bit encryption and all transaction are 100% secure. While we cannot disclose specifics on the security implementation, all industry best practices and standards have been implemented and continue to be improved upon for securing customer data which includes all data flow being TLS only. We use HSM tokens and encryption both at application and database layers as well as encryption at REST. We have a regular key rotation policy. Any maintenance or upgrades of application or to the servers hosting the application involve extensive audit trails and approval processes. I have two mobile numbers, which one should I use for Registration?
We need you to use the mobile number registered with the credit card i.e. the number to which you receive all your bank communication.

I have not received the OTP on my phone, what should I do?
There could be a couple of factors causing a delay in the delivery of the OTP. Please check your network connection. You can try 'Resent' button and wait for a minute to get OTP.
